Clear Cache in Internet Explorer   return to previous page

Click the Tools (gear) icon in the right corner, go to Safety, and then Delete Browsing History.

 

You can also bring up the Delete browsing history menu by clicking on Tools in the menu bar.

If your menu bar is hidden, you can right-click on top bar to bring up menu; make sure Menu Bar is checked.

Once it is checked, you should be able to see it on the left side under the URL address entry.

 

 

 

 

 

Once in the Delete Browsing History menu, to clear cache, uncheck the first box (Preserve favorites website data). Then check the first 3 after that: Temporary Internet files, Cookies, History.

You can also check any of the 4 remaining if you'd prefer, but those first 3 (temporary internet files, cookies, and history) are the important aspects.

Click Delete. You will then get a confirmation saying you successfully cleared your cache.

 

 

Clear cache further.

For some websites to function optimally, you may have to do a more thorough clearing of your cache. This method only works for IE 9 and 10, and NOT 11. You will use F12 Developer Tools for this method.

Click Tools (gear icon) on the right and then F12 developer tools

Find Cache on developer tools menu bar, then select Clear browser cache.

 

 

Finally, you will be asked if you want clear your cache. Select Yes, and you've successfully cleared your cache via F12 developer tools
